Ever wondered what the soundtrack to YNPN-TC work would be? We asked our 2014 board officers what song they'd choose to describe their hopes and dreams for the coming year, and they did not disappoint.
Treasurer: Chris Oien
"Can't Buy Me Love," by The Beatles
Treasurer is a new position for this board. It's really exciting our chapter is at the point where we need to formalize this position and establish financial procedures, but I want to keep in mind that money isn't what got us this far. We'll continue to chase our mission -- not money -- because money can't buy us love.
National Liaison: Lauren Van Schepen
"You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet," by Bachman Turner Overdrive
It may sound cheesy to say "our best days are ahead of us," but I honestly believe that with the national conference, leadership institute, rebranding of our chapter, and so many other exciting ways we're changing not just what we do, but how we do our work 2014 will show the Twin Cities and the country just how kickass our chapter is. B-b-b-bring it on.
Vice Chair: Brian Gioielli
"Good Time," by Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen
This year is going to be a good time! We're putting YNPN-TC on the national stage, and bringing on a bright-eyed new slate of board members. 2014 will be a year we'll never forget!
Chair: Jamie Millard
"Workin' Woman Blues," by Valerie June
In 2014, "workin' " is a great word to capture the dedication and passion our volunteers will bring to YNPN-TC to make all of our big dreams come true!
