Jocelyn McQuirter is a University of St. Thomas graduate and a native of Minneapolis. Her background is in account services and project management. She's worked for Arnold Worldwide in Boston, MA managing integrated campaigns with their New England McDonald's client. She's also worked for several brands within Regis Corporation with special projects including rebranding, content management and salon promotional collateral. Jocelyn also has her cosmetology license from Empire Education Group. Currently, Jocelyn is an Instructor and Supervisor for The BrandLab. Her role helps introduce, guide and prepare students for Twin Cities careers in marketing and advertising. She is also helping create programming around diversity and inclusion for The BrandLab's agency partners.
With a background in applied leadership, Damon Shoholm brings more than a decade of experience in leadership development, civic engagement and facilitation training as the Director of the James P. Shannon Leadership Institute. Over the past seven years, Damon has significantly contributed to Wilder Center for Communities, providing leadership for the Youth Leadership Initiative, Neighborhood Leadership Programs and Latino Leadership Programs. In addition, he works with nonprofit, government and community organizations to increase the capacity of individuals, organizations and communities. Damon is a 2013 alumnus of the Shannon Leadership Institute and has worked closely with Shannon staff and participants for a number of years. Damon is a graduate of Metropolitan State University and holds a teaching license and master’s degree from Augsburg College. He is a board member of the Minnesota Alliance with Youth, an organization overseeing AmeriCorps Promise Fellows throughout the state.
Ms. Stacy Schleeter is a youth work professional with a passion for youth employment. She strives to ensure each youth employee is gaining professional work experience in the bakery while polishing the potential for success as he or she looks toward future goals. In her role as Senior Program Manager, she focuses on leadership development with our Cart Captains and work readiness excellence with our Youth Employees. She is an alumni of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board’s Teen Teamworks program, and is a Trainer for the City of Minneapolis’ STEP-UP program. She was formally educated at St. Cloud State University where she completed undergraduate and graduate studies in Literature and Women’s Studies.
Cookie Cart locks their front doors but staff can let late attendees into the space. There is additional space available behind the Cookie Cart building. There is a buzzer at the rear entrance so people coming in that way will have to hit the buzzer and someone will let them in after that.
