As one of our awesome RFP winners, Dr. SooJin Pate will present on the prevalence of white supremacy in the nonprofit sector and facilitate a training on how to be anti-racist.
Using coded language and euphemisms in the DEI space is quite prevalent and works to keep the status quo--white supremacy--intact. Whitewashing language hinders our ability to advance racial equity, which is why It is important to be clear and direct in our language. We need more people to choose to be antiracists.

Dr. SooJin Pate (she/her/hers) is a former professor of race and ethnic studies, specializing in women of color feminism and decolonization. She has been working to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion for the past 20 years as an educator and DEI practitioner.
