Hungry for Nonprofit Knowledge? Don't Skip the Subsector Smorgasbord!

On August 24, YNPN-TC will be serving up an incredible buffet of 17 seasoned professionals for an all-you-can-eat platter of nonprofit knowledge. These individuals are generously providing an evening of their time to answer questions you have about what it takes and what it’s like to work in a wide sampling of nonprofit subsectors.

Our representatives come from eight subsectors, ranging from arts to capacity building organizations. They also represent an impressive array of nonprofit organizations, including Charities Review Council, Springboard for the Arts, Admission Possible, MAP for Nonprofits, the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits and many more.

This is an easy opportunity to take part in a number of informational interviews in one evening. And you don’t even have to set them up! Pick one table to sit at for the whole evening or move from table to table—the choice is yours. Need more options? Come and organize your own table to discuss a different subsector or issue area with other young nonprofit professionals with a similar interest. This evening will be truly a la carte.

The more prepared you are, the more you’ll get out of this event. Check out the list of experts and write down your pressing questions for them ahead of time. And, of course, don’t forget your business cards! This is truly going to be an unprecedented opportunity for Q&A with a variety of esteemed individuals from across the Twin Cities.
