YNPN Twin Cities hosts a variety of regular events to help members build their professional skills and network. Each quarter in 2011, we’re hosting an event from each of our three programming series: Happy Hours, Nonprofit EDGE and The Insider.  In addition, we’re continuing to host our well-attended monthly Emerging Leaders Network Lunches.  View our calendar to see what's coming up next.

Happy Hours

Quarterly, board members and other member volunteers host a happy hour at various locations throughout the Twin Cities.  These more informal events offer the opportunity to network with other young nonprofit professionals and learn more about YNPN-TC. No RSVP required.

Nonprofit EDGE

The Nonprofit EDGE event series offers young people who are looking for work in the sector opportunities to build their network and gain key insight on their job search in a supportive environment that helps them get (or stay) connected.  Whether you are fresh out of school, just finished a volunteer opportunity or are at a transition point in your career, these events will strengthen your ability to find and get into a satisfying job.    

The Insider

The Insider event series offers the inside scoop on topics relevant to professional development in the nonprofit sector.  From reading financials to better understanding the professional tracks in the sector, these events will prepare you to stand out and craft a successful career.

Emerging Leaders Network Lunches

On the third Friday of every month, YNPN-TC co-sponsors an Emerging Leaders Network brown-bag lunch at the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits office. Each of these features a different informal topic-based discussion relevant to professional development in the nonprofit sector.
