YNPN Twin Cities hosts a variety of regular events to help members build their professional skills and network. For 2012, we are offering a slate of fresh events in which participants will be actively involved and meeting each other. We will continue to host our popular Happy Hours and the monthly Emerging Leaders Network Lunches. Each turn of the calendar will offer a new and exciting event for Young Nonprofit Professionals like yourself so be sure to check out our calendar to see what's coming up

Personal and Professional Growth
All of our events are designed so that you will walk away with a tangible new idea, skill, or connection. Some are more content focused with topics such as facilitation techniques, finding your personal mission, and mentoring. Each event will have a unique format with time for networking and reflection. These events will sell out fast! Become a member so you’ll be the first to learn about them.

Member-Driven
This year we have two events that allow you to be in charge. We will be hosting an open space evening where we will draw on the wisdom and interests in the room to create discussion circles in real-time on the issue of diversity and inclusion in the sector. This Fall, we will also turn the tables and let you share a rapid-fire presentation about something that sparks interest in you with your peers.

Fun Times
Throughout the year board members and other member volunteers host happy hours at various locations throughout the Twin Cities. But we also know fun is more than just happy hours so we’ll also host a picnic this summer and an Improv event in January! These more informal events offer the opportunity to network with other young nonprofit professionals and learn more about YNPN-TC. No RSVP required.

Emerging Leaders Network Lunches
On the third Friday of every month, YNPN-TC co-sponsors an Emerging Leaders Network brown-bag lunch at the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits office. Each of these features a different informal topic-based discussion relevant to professional development in the nonprofit sector. Don’t forget your lunch!
