YNPN-Twin Cities is a community of nonprofit staff, volunteers, supporters, and allies: current and future leaders who want to build networks capable of supporting lifelong careers and involvement in the social sectors.
We believe in active learning, cooperation, inclusion and shared responsibility for our collective fate not only as a nonprofit sector but as a broader community.
We host monthly happy hours for peers to share information and ideas in an informal, relaxed atmosphere, as well as more formal professional and personal development programming.
Leadership
YNPN-TC is led by a dedicated board of local nonprofit professionals.
National Movement
This local Young Nonprofit Professionals Network is an emerging chapter of the national YNPN organization. Beginning in 1997 as a small gathering of peers in San Francisco, YNPN has since grown from word-of-mouth and local volunteer leadership teams, to a nearly 15,000 members in chapters across the U.S. This rapid growth and mobilization of next-generation leaders clearly shows the need for installing a pipeline for nonprofit professionals early in their careers.
